Hi there - my name is Susan and I am your local State Farm Agent right here in Newburgh NY! Born and raised in Northern NJ, I have always been passionate about helping others and State Farm is the perfect place to continue that help. I joined State Farm in 1989 Life Insurance supervisor. In 1997, we (my husband and two beautiful and talented daughters) moved to Orange County, NY where I became an Agent in the Newburgh area. With over 35 years of experience in helping my community find the right coverage to protect what matters most, my goal is always to provide excellent service.

When my customers interact with me and my team members (Sheryl, Flor, Katie and Donnita), I want them to recognize our friendly faces and willingness to help them, just like a good neighbor would. Altogether we have over 95 years of experience in protecting you and your family from the unforeseen. We are here to serve the community and our customers in person, over the phone, by text and by email. We even have a Spanish speaking team in house to better serve our customers.

Aside from being a small business owner, I volunteer at local Valley Central High School to teach the Driving Awareness Class. My own daughters attended this school and I have been in the shoes of a parent watching their child drive for the first time. I work to teach high school students the benefits of driving safely and brief them on crucial insurance knowledge. When I'm not in the office, I love to be with my family camping in Upstate NY. I also have a sweet rescue Yorkie/ Chihuahua pup named Rita! Rita likes to accompany me in the kitchen where I create baked goods from scratch and make home-cooked meals for my loved ones.

Sheryl is Susan’s first team member! In fact, she started training before the office was even opened, on November 1, 1997. She was born and raised in the community we serve. She and her family are involved in many local charitable organizations, as they feel that it is very important to give back to the community that we live in. With her 23 years of experience, she prides herself on the care and knowledge that she provides to our customers. Sheryl is also a New York State Notary. Her goal is always to help everyone with their policies, making sure they understand what coverage they currently have and make sure they have the coverages that they need to protect themselves from the unexpected. Licensed to serve all of New York, Sheryl looks forward to helping you with all of your insurance needs.

Flor has been a member of our State Farm family since 2014. She is a lifelong Newburgh, NY resident and even attended the prestigious Mount Saint Mary College. Flor is always determined to offer exceptional customer service to existing and new customers.

From Northern Kentucky, Donnita just recently joined our team and is licensed to serve the state of New York. She works for our office as a remote service team member helping with payments and obtaining needed documents for customers policies. She has been with State Farm for 10 years and worked in agent offices for 7 of those years. She is a graduate of Morehead State University in Morehead, Kentucky. Donnita is here to make sure that all customers are kept up-to-date on the status of their payments so don’t be surprised if you hear a Southern accent on the other end of a call from our office!
